As part of the Drone Line initiative, the Netherlands has signed contracts for the production of 600,000 drones for Ukraine.
This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov.
"The Netherlands has signed contracts for the production of 600,000 Ukrainian drones for Ukraine under the 'Drone Line' initiative, with deliveries already set to begin this year," Umerov stated.
He noted that these contracts are part of a new Dutch aid package worth over €675 million. The package also includes the delivery of 100 additional radars for detecting UAVs, as well as equipment for evacuating the wounded.
Umerov thanked the Netherlands and personally Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans for their leadership and strong support of Ukraine.
"This is an example of true partnership and belief in Ukraine’s victory. Together, we are doing everything possible to ensure that our Armed Forces have a technological advantage on the battlefield," the minister emphasized.
