The Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, promised Ukraine new support this year in defending against Russia's aggressive war during a telephone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday.
Sánchez shared this information on his X (Twitter) account.
The head of the Spanish government emphasized that "Spain's determined support will continue for as long as necessary."
"In 2024, Spain will provide new opportunities to help Ukraine defend itself against the Russian aggression that has been ongoing for over two years," Sánchez promised.
Spain and Ukraine are working together for a just and lasting peace that respects the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, added the Spanish Prime Minister.
"We support the future peace summit, which should have broad international support," Sánchez also noted.
