Counter-intelligence of the Security Service exposed a deeply conspiratorial FSB spy in the Luhansk region.
The woman pretended to be a Ukrainian patriot trying to gain the trust of the SSU. What is more, in fact, she was carrying out the tasks of the Russian special services, who wanted to make her a "double agent" for reconnaissance and subversive activities against the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
In order to carry out a hostile task, the attacker approached a representative of one of the units of the SSU and offered her help in the fight against the aggressor.
Among other things, it is "guaranteed" to provide up-to-date information on enemy activities in the temporarily occupied territory of eastern Ukraine.
However, SSU employees established that in 2019 she was recruited by the Russian special services through the so-called "MDB LPR" under the control of the occupiers.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, she carried out the aggressor's instructions to identify the routes and equipment of the Armed Forces in the Luhansk region.
The enemy accomplice also collected information on the locations of members of the resistance movement in the region, particularly in the captured village of Markivka.
She forwarded the information she received to the occupation administration for further repression against local residents.
Subsequently, the Russian agent was tasked with establishing contact and establishing "cooperation" with the Ukrainian special service.
However, the SSU thwarted the enemy's plans to infiltrate their "mole" into the Service's clandestine apparatus. As a result of multi-pronged counter-intelligence measures, the perpetrator was promptly exposed, the criminal activity was documented and her "curator" was identified.
Ukrainian counter-intelligence officers misinformed the aggressor, took the traitor to the controlled territory, and detained her.
The special operation to expose the enemy agent was carried out by the employees of the Counterintelligence Department together with the SSU of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service.
