The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another FSB agent in the Odessa region. The agent was involved in directing Russian missile and drone strikes on one of the port cities in the area.

The Russian operatives were primarily seeking coordinates for the locations of personnel and ships of the State Border Guard Service's maritime patrols. They also aimed to obtain information on the locations of air defense positions protecting the southern region's airspace.

The FSB recruited a 39-year-old paramedic from a local emergency medical station for this task. The individual had come under the FSB's radar in April this year for posting anti-Ukrainian comments on pro-Russian Telegram channels.

Following the occupiers' directives, the agent collected intelligence during trips around the coastal area, including during emergency medical calls. He recorded the information on Google Maps and sent screenshots to his FSB handler.

The SSU documented the criminal activities of the Russian agent and detained him. During searches, two mobile phones used for communication with the FSB were found.

The SSU has charged him under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The suspect is currently in custody, facing life imprisonment with asset forfeiture.
