Cybersecurity experts from the Security Service of Ukraine have arrested another informant of Russian special services who was allegedly providing guidance for Russian missile strikes on the territory of the Odessa region.
Among the main targets of the enemy were the locations of defense forces and logistic centers for exporting Ukrainian grain near the Black Sea waters.
The intelligence information was needed by the occupiers to prepare a series of attacks on the military and critical infrastructure of the region using missile weapons and kamikaze drones.
However, SBU operatives acted preemptively, exposing the Russian informant in a timely manner, documenting her criminal actions, and making the arrest.
It has been determined that the individual involved is a resident of the village of Prymorske in the Odessa region.
According to the investigation, she communicated with the aggressor through her son, who resides in Russia and has contact with enemy special services.
During the search, the detained person's mobile phone, which she used in her criminal activities, was confiscated.
The detained individual is currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. The suspect could face up to 12 years in prison.
Counterintelligence measures were conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in collaboration with the SSU departments in the Cherkasy and Odessa regions under the procedural guidance of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.
