On January 9, 2026, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of the Swiss Confederation (SECO) announced the second Call for Proposals for initiatives to rebuild Ukraine in cooperation with the Swiss private sector.

Up to 150 million Swiss francs in co-financing is available under this call.

Swiss companies operating in Ukraine are invited to submit proposals for priority projects aligned with the country’s needs, with a key focus on strengthening public infrastructure.

Grant funding for a single project may range from 3 to 30 million Swiss francs. Decisions on project support, based on the evaluation of submitted applications, will be made by a joint committee comprising representatives from Swiss and Ukrainian authorities.

In the first stage, project proposals are assessed according to pre-defined criteria. Companies that pass the preliminary selection will be invited to submit fully developed project applications. Additional interviews may be conducted to clarify specific aspects or open questions.

The second Call for Proposals is open until March 8, 2026.

Detailed information is available on the official website:

Call for Proposals for Swiss Companies in Ukraine

The second call builds on the successful experience of the first Call for Proposals conducted in 2025, which attracted significant interest: around 60 Swiss companies submitted nearly 80 project proposals.

Following the selection process, the Swiss Confederation supported 12 of the best projects with a total of 93 million Swiss francs. Funded initiatives cover the following areas:

  • Infrastructure (energy and housing)
  • Public transport
  • Healthcare
  • Humanitarian demining

All selected projects are currently in the implementation phase.
