The Ukrainian Agri-Voltaics Association has signed a strategic partnership agreement with IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH, one of the leading European players in agricultural consulting, international cooperation, and rural development.
This was announced by the press service of the Association in a release sent to EnergoReform.
According to the release, the German company IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 2006 and coordinates a number of technical assistance projects, including the German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD), implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, agricultural associations, relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada, and scientific institutions.
The main goal of the company's activities in Ukraine is to support agricultural policy, rural development, the implementation of European standards, and the strengthening of market infrastructure.
"As part of the partnership with the Ukrainian Agri-Voltaics Association, IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH has confirmed its interest in developing agri-voltaics as one of the promising directions of 'green transformation.' The joint efforts with the Ukrainian side open new opportunities for implementing shared projects in a field that combines agricultural production with renewable energy generation on the same land," the release explains.
According to the release, the partnership includes cooperation within national and international initiatives, participation in relevant competitions and programs, as well as working on investment projects, including those based on public-private partnerships.
"This step marks the beginning of deepened cooperation aimed at knowledge exchange, involving international experts, and developing agri-voltaics in Ukraine as a modern approach to the rational use of land resources and energy sustainability in the agricultural sector," emphasizes the Association.
The release further explains that in the long run, the partnership will contribute to creating a favorable environment in Ukraine for the implementation of agri-voltaic technologies—through consulting support, participation in pilot projects, the development of educational initiatives, and analytical work. The cooperation also involves engaging stakeholders—representatives of government bodies, businesses, scientific institutions, and farming enterprises—in dialogue on the integration of agri-voltaics into agricultural policy and practice.
"The Agri-Voltaics Association views this partnership as an important step towards building a national agri-voltaic ecosystem, where knowledge, technology, and investment come together to achieve the common goal of developing competitive, sustainable, and energy-efficient agricultural production," the release concludes.
