The Ukrainian platform for finding tutors, BUKI, has been included in TIME's list of the best "rising stars" in EdTech for the year 2024. In this ranking, the company ranked sixth overall and was the only one from Ukraine.
This year, TIME, in collaboration with the international market and consumer data provider Statista, released for the first time a list of the best global EdTech companies. The list includes 250 companies from various countries, with one-third from the United States. The ranking is based on a formula that evaluates financial stability and industry impact.
Additionally, they highlighted the best global EdTech Rising Stars, featuring 15 companies. This ranking aimed to recognize organizations that had the highest revenue growth rates over the past three years among those who applied.
Vadym Synzheretskyi, the co-founder and head of the Buki platform, reacted to this on his Facebook page.
"Now with the team, we can boldly jokingly say that we were in TIME, nothing special," he wrote.
Buki is an EdTech startup, a marketplace for teachers and tutors. The team consists of over 130 employees, and more than 110,000 private tutors are listed on the platform. It is one of the largest EdTech startups in Europe.
In 2023, Sinzhoretskyi was included in Forbes' annual list of young leaders 30 under 30 in Europe.
