Ukraine and Moldova continue to implement agreements on joint control at border checkpoints. During an online meeting between the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and the Prime Minister of Moldova, Dorin Recean, a series of protocols were signed to simplify and reduce the crossing time at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border for citizens and cargo.

"Today's agreements will not only boost trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova but also enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of border crossing capacities using the best European practices. The latter is especially important in the context of our joint movement towards the European Union," emphasized Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

During the online meeting, the heads of governments discussed the further development of logistics. Denys Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine is interested in extending the practice of joint control to all border crossing points with neighboring European countries: "This is important for expanding throughput capacity and the quality of border control."

The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Moldova also discussed cooperation in the direction of European integration, including the fulfillment of conditions within the framework of pre-accession negotiations with the EU.
