The results of the verification of this list and the list of wounded Russian prisoners of war provided to the Ukrainian side will be the subject of further negotiations for an exchange.
The Ukrainian delegation handed the Russian Federation a list of 748 seriously ill and seriously wounded defenders in captivity.
This was stated by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets in Telegram. "As part of the agreements reached, the Ukrainian delegation handed over to the Russian side a list of 748 seriously ill and seriously wounded defenders of Ukraine, who are currently held captive by the aggressor state, in order to verify them, establish their place of residence and state of health," Lubinets said.
As the Ombudsman noted, the results of the verification of this list, as well as the list of wounded Russian prisoners of war provided to the Ukrainian side, will be the subject of further negotiations on this issue.
"In order to prevent possible manipulations and dissemination of false information, we inform you that the specified list was formed on the basis of data recorded in the relevant registers of the National Information Bureau and the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War," he added.
