Ukrainian military have received Czech 122mm multiple launch rocket systems Striga.

A video of the new system in action has been released by the military.

The BM-21MT Striga has been adopted by the 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade. Its artillery operators demonstrated the use of the combat vehicle against the occupiers on the front lines.

It is currently unknown whether the Czech multiple launch rocket system was provided as military assistance or if Ukraine procured it independently.

The Striga is a further development of the Soviet 122mm multiple launch rocket system BM-21 Grad, which has received a series of updates to its guidance system and a new lightweight two-axle chassis.

In addition to the Striga, the artillery units of the 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade also have the heavier Czech RM-70 Vampire, which is mounted on a four-axle chassis and equipped with an automatic loading system and additional transportable ammunition supply.

The BM-21MT Striga is a multiple launch rocket system produced by the Czech defense company Excalibur Army.
