Kyiv is ready to assist Chișinău in preventing the destabilization of Moldova amid Russia’s attempts to interfere in the country’s parliamentary elections.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhiy Tykhyi at a briefing.
“We know that Russia has made and continues to make colossal efforts to destabilize Moldova; it pours money and resources into this, trying to destabilize the country through propaganda, disinformation, various methods and actions. All this, in our view, constitutes gross interference in Moldova’s internal affairs,” the spokesperson said.
According to him, Ukraine hopes that Moldova’s elections will be held democratically and transparently, allowing everyone to make their choice.
Tykhyi stressed that Ukraine, as a friendly country and partner of Moldova, “is always ready to provide assistance to prevent destabilization” of the country.
