Ukraine launches search for official wine ambassadors 2024 for La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux

In just under a month, on August 30, 2024, a formal award ceremony will be held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to honor the winners of the III All-Ukrainian Selection of Official Wine Ambassadors for Ukraine.

The III All-Ukrainian competitive selection of official wine ambassadors will be organized by the Ukrvinprom Corporation in collaboration with the Ukrainian Sommelier Association in three stages:

  1. Submission of applications from winemaking enterprises – by August 20, 2024.
  2. Blind tasting assessment of candidate wines at the sensory analysis laboratory of the Ukrainian Wine Institute – August 28-29, 2024.
  3. Awarding of the selection winners at the formal ceremony at the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Ukraine – August 30, 2024.

Following the selection, a collection of 21 Ukrainian wine samples that receive the title of Ukrainian Wine Ambassador 2024 will be sent to La Cité du Vin.

 

La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux

 

La Cité du Vin is the world's largest wine museum. The wines featured there are offered for tasting to numerous visitors from around the world and are showcased at prestigious special events. For Ukrainian winemakers, this is a significant opportunity to gain recognition, promote their country, and become part of history.

Project partners include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Ukraine, the General Directorate for Service of Foreign Missions, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Intellectual Property and Innovation Office, and the Ukrainian Sommelier Association.
