Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met in Kyiv with a U.S. delegation led by the U.S. Secretary of the Army, Daniel Driscoll.
The delegation also included U.S. Army Chief of Staff General Randy George, Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa and NATO Land Forces Commander General Christopher Donahue, and Commander of NSATU and SAG-U Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard.
Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the people and government of the United States for their vital support, which saves the lives of Ukrainians every day. The Defense Minister also emphasized that Ukraine is a reliable ally of the United States.
“We are ready to strengthen U.S. global leadership based on the lessons of modern warfare. Ukrainian products in the fields of unmanned systems, communications, and situational awareness are among the best in the world and have proven their effectiveness in combat. Ukraine is ready to develop joint security solutions with its allies, and the role of the United States here is extremely important,” said Denys Shmyhal.

He presented Ukraine’s developments in defense innovations to the partners, particularly in the production of FPV drones, interceptors, and deep strike systems.
The delegations focused on the next steps to implement the historic defense agreements reached between President Zelensky and President Trump. These agreements will elevate cooperation to a qualitatively new level and strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries, added the Ukrainian Defense Minister.
Denys Shmyhal also expressed gratitude to the United States for approving a support package for the PATRIOT air defense system worth approximately $105 million—a critically needed aid that will enable more effective defense against Russian attacks.
