Ukraine struck with drones on the third object of Russia's oil infrastructure in two days

On the morning of March 13, during a massive drone raid into Russian territory, several drones struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery in the Ryazan region.

"As a result of the strike, a fire started. According to preliminary information, there are casualties," said the governor of the region, Pavel Malkov.

At least three drones could have attacked the plant. One of the drones hit the primary oil product processing unit, causing a significant fire. The fire area is 100 square meters, including the burning of the heat exchanger block unit. Several fire brigades were dispatched to the scene. The Ryazan Unified Duty Dispatch Service confirmed that there was a "fire at the oil installation." The receiving department of the Ryazan emergency hospital reported the hospitalization of two people in moderate condition.

The night before, Ukraine also organized a massive drone raid into Russian territory. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, they struck the Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery, and in the Oryol region, they targeted an oil depot. A week earlier, a Ukrainian drone struck an oil base in the Belgorod region.

Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has attacked at least 13 oil and gas facilities with drones, including refineries, oil depots, and gas terminals in the Bryansk, Kursk, Volgograd, Yaroslavl, Leningrad regions, Krasnodar Krai, and St. Petersburg.
