Ukraine will receive 12 Caesar self-propelled artillery systems from the Franco-German defense group KNDS. The relevant contract was signed recently.
This was announced by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu in a statement on Twitter.
During an industrial forum in Kyiv, the KNDS group signed a contract to supply 12 Caesar artillery systems to Ukraine. The financing of the deliveries is provided by Ukrainian funds.
According to the minister, the agreement is part of efforts to expand the defense industry’s production capacity to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
The Caesar is a modern self-propelled artillery system that combines mobility, accuracy, and firepower. It can quickly deploy, fire a salvo, and leave the position, avoiding return fire.
Caesar is used by many armies worldwide due to its versatility. It can be deployed in various conditions, from deserts to mountainous areas. The system is equipped with an automated fire control system, significantly enhancing shooting efficiency.
Caesar plays an important role in modern armed conflicts, providing artillery support to ground forces.
