Ukrainian defenders will be provided with artillery shells in the coming days, which were purchased as part of the Czech initiative.
This was stated by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, as reported by Barron's.
He mentioned that fifteen countries of the European Union and NATO have already raised over 1.6 billion euros for shells for Ukraine.
"The first tens of thousands of 155 millimetre ammunitions will be delivered in June. Ukraine can expect the first shipment within the next days," Fiala noted.
The Prime Minister also clarified that since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received from allies 918 units of heavy equipment, almost 21 million medium-caliber ammunition, and 1.7 million large-caliber ammunition and rockets.
