Ukraine's state budget revenues collapsed in September

In September, the general fund of Ukraine's state budget received 122.9 billion UAH in taxes, fees, and mandatory payments.

This was reported by the Ministry of Finance's press service.

Overall, for the month of September 2024, the general and special funds of the state budget received a total of 231.6 billion UAH in taxes, fees, and other payments.

For comparison, in August, state budget revenues amounted to 386.2 billion UAH, largely due to the transfer of 228.1 billion UAH in international aid.

It was noted that state budget revenues had been decreasing for six consecutive months. In July, only 120 billion UAH in taxes, fees, and mandatory payments were collected.

The main sources of revenue in September were:

  • 40.2 billion UAH – VAT on goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine;
  • 22.6 billion UAH – VAT on goods produced in Ukraine (36.4 billion UAH collected, 13.8 billion UAH refunded);
  • 21.3 billion UAH – excise tax;
  • 20.2 billion UAH – personal income tax and military levy;
  • 5.6 billion UAH – corporate profit tax;
  • 4.1 billion UAH – import and export duties;
  • 3.7 billion UAH – rent payments for the use of natural resources.

At the same time, the State Tax Service's execution of the monthly revenue plan was 104.8%, while the State Customs Service achieved 86.9%.

According to the State Treasury Service, from January to September 2024, the general fund of the state budget received 1.54 trillion UAH.
