Together with the Ministry of Education and Science, we continue the "Laptop for every teacher" initiative. This year, with the support of Google and UNESCO, about 30,000 new Chromebooks have already arrived at educational institutions.
Due to the full-scale war, many educational institutions have been destroyed or damaged. Also, children cannot continue their education offline due to the constant risks of shelling. Therefore, many schools have switched to a blended or online format.
In order for teachers to be able to conduct lessons and communicate with students, they need modern technology. That is why we are continuing the "Laptop for every teacher" initiative and have already handed over 30,000 Chromebooks to educational institutions out of the 50,000 planned.
Only on October 28, 9,000 laptops were handed over to the regions of Ukraine:
- Lviv - 2412
- Volynsk - 1283
- Ternopil - 1182
- Zakarpattia - 1124
- Ivano-Frankivsk - 2147
- Chernivtsi - 496
And on October 31, another 5,000 Chromebooks: almost 3,000 laptops to Zhytomyr region and about 2,000 to Kyiv.
The "Laptop for every teacher" initiative was implemented thanks to the agreements of the Ministry of Digital and the Ministry of Education and Science with Google and with the support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
