Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov visited combat brigades fighting in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The main purpose was to gather information about capabilities, management issues, and unit needs. Umerov announced this on Facebook.
"An important working trip to the front. I spent every day in the brigades fighting in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. We honestly discuss frontline challenges with unit commanders. We help find necessary solutions and do not turn a blind eye to problems. We clearly understand the situation at the front and are ready to make decisions. Every military management leader must be in constant communication with the units," emphasized Umerov.
He added that obtaining information about capabilities, management issues, and unit needs firsthand allows for better and faster decision-making.
The minister noted that the Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, also regularly works with the units "in the field," makes necessary decisions, and takes care of the soldiers.
"The units should see that we are with them. And we will be together until victory, no matter how difficult the path may be. We act as one team," emphasized Umerov.
