The work on deploying large-scale production of strike UAVs of the "Shahed" type by the aggressor state has already partially begun at a factory in the city of Alabuga, located in the territory controlled by the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan.

This information was provided by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadim Skybytskyi, in a conversation with RBC-Ukraine.

He explained that the military intelligence of Ukraine is not currently observing an active transfer of "Shahed" drones from Iran to Russia.

According to Vadim Skybytskyi, the first contracts with Moscow for the supply of ready-made kamikaze drones have already been fulfilled by Tehran. Therefore, the current situation may involve only small batches of this type of weaponry and the delivery of components for the production of "Shahed" drones on Russian territory.

"The enemy planned to produce at least 200 'Shahed' drones per month, but in reality, they are producing fewer due to Russia just beginning to increase production. Currently, it is mainly assembly of components supplied from Iran," stated the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Vadim Skybytskyi further clarified that the "Shahed" drones, referred to as "Geran-2" in Russia, are assembled at the factory in Alabuga. Additionally, there are related enterprises operating in the territory of the aggressor state that deal with supplying components for the strike UAVs.
