Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh set a new world record in high jump. She cleared a height of 2.10 meters on her first attempt, marking the first time this height has been achieved in women's high jump history.
Mahuchikh's world record was set at the Diamond League stage in Paris. She achieved this after winning the competition against Australian Nicola Olyslagers, being the only one to clear the 2.03-meter mark.
After clearing 2.03 meters, Yaroslava Mahuchikh set two consecutive records:
- First, she cleared 2.07 meters on her second attempt, updating her personal high jump record.
- Then, on her first attempt, she cleared 2.10 meters, setting a new world record.
