Russia launched 40 missiles and approximately 40 strike drones at Ukraine overnight and in the morning. Some of them were intercepted by air defense systems, wrote Zelensky on Facebook.
"I am grateful to everyone who is currently eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack and to every soldier of our air defense who was on duty last night. Over 40 missiles and about 40 strike drones. Some of the missiles and Shaheds were successfully shot down. Unfortunately, only some of them," Zelensky noted.
According to him, Russian terrorists again targeted critical infrastructure objects. There was another insidious missile strike on Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region. Objects in other regions were also targeted: Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, and Lviv.
"Each of our neighbors in Europe, each of our other partners sees how critical Ukraine's need for air defense is. Right here, right now, by our ability to overcome Russian terror, the world can prove that everyone views terrorism as a crime. If Russia is allowed to continue doing this, if Russian missiles and Shaheds hit not only Ukraine but also the determination of our partners, it will be a global permission for terrorism. Air defense and other defense support are needed, not turning a blind eye and lengthy discussions," emphasized Zelensky.
He thanked everyone in the world who "truly effectively supports our Ukrainian fight for life."
"Thanks to all the leaders who will not remain silent, who will continue to help us and condemn Russian terror," Zelensky stressed.
