Volunteers from various countries around the world, who have formed the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, are individuals who typically have extensive military experience in their own countries and combat experience in other wars. However, before being accepted into the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, they all must undergo special training and preparation. The war in Ukraine is not what they were prepared for before.

'The Legion is joined by guys from elite units around the world, such as the Green Berets, Rangers, and others. But no one is truly fully prepared for this kind of war. Therefore, everyone, without exception, must undergo special training. This is not about weeks, but even months," said Vlad, a representative of the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine

For experienced individuals, this is a renewal of their skills, a return to the basics, a reminder of things they may have stopped paying attention to. But most importantly, it's about adapting to the current realities, to the processes we see in this war. Because many things here are completely new.

"And the experience they have successfully applied in other wars, such as Iraq and Afghanistan, does not work here. Therefore, excessive confidence in their skills can simply get them killed,' said Vlad, a representative of the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, in an interview with United 24.
