Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe, owned by Viktor Pinchuk, has signed a contract with Greenbrier, Europe's largest railway car builder, as reported by CTS in an interview with Olexander Garkaviy, Director of the company's Railway Products Division. According to him, the plant to which the company will supply a significant volume of wheelsets is located in Poland.

Garkaviy noted that the agreement with Greenbrier represents Interpipe's largest contract in the last two years. He mentioned that Greenbrier will receive separate deliveries of wheels and axles. Additionally, he highlighted contracts for clients in Spain and Finland, countries with track gauges differing from standard European ones.

"If the trend of the first half-year continues until the end of this year, we will supply 20,000 wheelsets to the European market in the freight car segment. This amounts to 40,000 wheels. In addition, under other contracts, we will ship nearly 105,000 wheels," said Garkaviy.

In 2023, Interpipe achieved revenues of $989 million, matching the level of 2022. Profit increased by 24% to $252 million. The company manufactures seamless pipes and railway wheels and operates five plants: Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsky Pipe Rolling Plant, Interpipe Novomoskovsky Pipe Plant (NMTZ), Interpipe Niko-Tube, Dnepropetrovsk Vtormet, and Interpipe Steel.

In 2023, the Interpipe Group sold 387,000 tons of pipe products and 95,000 tons of railway products. Last year, the group paid a record amount of taxes and fees totaling 4.4 billion UAH.
