After the downing of a Russian missile near Uman, the threat to Jewish pilgrims who traditionally came to the city has increased.
On the morning of August 8, during an air raid in the Uman region, the air defense system went off. Two people were injured from the remnants of a downed rocket. Later it became known that one of the hospitalized died in the hospital. As a result, there is a threat to the citizens of Israel who came to the city.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk.
A Russian missile was shot near Uman, causing damage to civilian infrastructure. If such attacks by Russia would happen in the month of Tishrei, they could cause, God forbid, many fatalities among the Jews visiting Uman from around the world.
