In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, 125 combat engagements took place over the past day. Nearly 85% of Russian losses occurred in the eastern direction.
As reported by the spokesperson of Khortytsia operational-strategic group, Nazar Voloshyn, during a television broadcast.
"Across the entire front line, there were 153 enemy attacks this morning, and in our eastern operational zone, the enemy conducted 125 combat engagements. This is the eastern operational zone. In particular, the enemy launched one missile strike on our positions and all populated areas, carried out 44 airstrikes, used 72 KABs (a type of aerial bomb) across all settlements, and made over 290 drone kamikaze attacks. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy also fired more than 3,800 shells at our military positions," Voloshyn said.
According to him, 21 combat engagements with the Russian forces have already been recorded in the eastern operational zone during the current day. The Russian troops also launched one missile strike, five airstrikes, dropped 10 GABs, and carried out 397 shelling attacks with various types of weaponry.
In response to a question about whether the dynamics of the Russian offensive are increasing, the spokesperson noted that the Russian forces has not deviated from its plans.
"The enemy has its aggressive plans and does not deviate from them. I will say that the dynamics of combat and assault actions by the enemy change daily, of course. Because the enemy's plans are aggressive — to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Our enemy is tough and does not stop its attempts, constantly trying to capture one settlement or another and take control of these territories. However, the Defense Forces are resisting the enemy," Voloshyn stated.
He added that Russian losses in the eastern operational zone are the heaviest along the entire front.
"Losses are large every day, and nearly 80-85% of the enemy's losses occur in our eastern operational zone. By this morning, enemy losses in our area of responsibility amounted to more than 1,100 personnel, including 487 killed and over 600 wounded," said the spokesperson.
Voloshyn also noted that the Russian army has been surrendering more actively recently.
"In the last few days, a significant number of occupiers have been taken prisoner. Just this morning, three prisoners were captured, and as reported by the prisoners that our defenders have taken, they choose a better life in captivity than death at the hands of their commanders," the spokesperson noted.
He also highlighted that the Russia's advance in this operational zone is supported by a large number of aircraft and significantly larger numbers of Russian personnel.
