Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, held a conversation today, on January 30, with his Peruvian counterpart, Javier Gonzales-Olaechea.

Kuleba wrote this in his X (Twitter) page.

"Expanding on Ukraine's recently adopted Latin America Strategy, I spoke with Peru's Foreign Minister, Javier Gonzales-Olaechea," the statement said.

Kuleba added that he expressed gratitude to Peru for its solidarity with Ukraine. The ministers acknowledged that Russian aggression against Ukraine affects the security not only of Europe but also of Latin America and the Caribbean basin.

The Minister clarified that both of them focused on the Ukrainian 'peace formula' and explored opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Kuleba also invited his Peruvian counterpart to visit Ukraine at the first opportunity.

The Ukrainian "Peace Formula" includes various components, such as:

  1. Radiation and nuclear safety: Russia's withdrawal from the territory of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ZAES) and the abandonment of nuclear threats.

  2. Food security: Expansion of the grain initiative to ensure sufficient food supply.

  3. Energy security: Measures to enhance energy security.

  4. Release of all prisoners and deportees: Release based on the principle of "all for all."

  5. Compliance with the UN Charter: Restoration of territorial integrity and the world order.

  6. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities: Ending military actions and the withdrawal of Russian forces.

  7. Justice: Pursuit of justice for the conflict.

  8. Ecocide prevention: Urgent protection of the environment to prevent ecological disasters.

  9. Avoidance of escalation: Measures to prevent further escalation of the conflict.

  10. Fixation of the end of the war: Documenting the conclusion of hostilities.
