Fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps, who are fighting on the side of Ukraine against the aggressor state, will continue to carry out raids in border regions of Russia, and the scale of these attacks will increase.
This opinion was expressed by the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview with NV.
He mentioned a recent military operation by the Russian Volunteer Corps in the Kursk region.
"The Russians reported that there was a battle there: several FSB [Federal Security Service] employees, border guards, and their military were killed. It did happen, it's just that these actions were not of such a large scale," Kyrylo Budanov explained.
Based on the logic of what has happened and is happening, the head of Ukrainian intelligence predicted that Russian volunteers will operate on an even larger scale in the near future.
"The activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps and other units will develop, as well as the scale of events associated with this activity," said the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
