Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas, during his visit to Kyiv, proposed sending advisors to Ukraine to implement reforms and combat corruption. Anušauskas' words were quoted by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The Lithuanian minister held a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov, during his stay in Kyiv.
Umerov stated, "We value the Lithuanian specialists' experience in creating procurement agencies for arms and non-lethal products. The Ministry of Defense is currently working on the full launch of such agencies."
He also expressed gratitude to his Lithuanian colleague for their readiness to support Ukraine and provide assistance with experts and expertise.
Earlier, Anušauskas had a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
