The Chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs of the Polish Sejm, politician, and deputy Michal Kobosko on February 24, 2024, spoke with special forces soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine who are in the combat zone. This was reported by Ukrinform.
"The most important thing for us is the support of Ukraine and convincing everyone in the West that it is time to help Ukraine now, not in a year or two," Michal Kobosko emphasized.
He added that there is increasing awareness in Europe of the risks of Russian aggression against the entire continent.
"In Poland, we fully understand that by detaining the Russian aggressor within our borders, you are preventing its expansion to Poland, the Baltic countries, and all of Europe," he stressed.
In response, the Ukrainian military intelligence soldiers thanked the people and government of Poland for their comprehensive support, including shelter for Ukrainian women and children, as well as military assistance to our army such as the "Krab" self-propelled artillery unit, the "Rosomak" APC, and other weapons that are currently being actively used on the front lines.
However, considering the scale and intensity of the war with terrorist Russia, Ukraine needs significantly more weapons.
The special forces soldier noted that logistical supply routes for weapons to the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine pass through the Polish-Ukrainian border.
"Therefore, we would be very grateful for the quick unblocking of the border, as this is a very critical issue for us in such difficult times," the intelligence officer said.
