A new project has been launched in Ukraine, within which citizens aged 18 to 24 can sign a contract and join the Defense Forces. They will be provided with large payments and benefits.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the ministry, within the framework of the "Contract 18-24" project, Ukrainians aged 18-24 will gain new opportunities: decent financial rewards, professional combat training according to NATO standards, and social guarantees that no civilian profession offers. The contract is signed on a voluntary basis, and it is not a mobilization or obligation.

"This is an opportunity for people to make a conscious choice, gain combat experience, and financial stability in just one year. The volunteer decides for themselves whether to continue service or return to civilian life, having unique prospects," said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.

For those who sign the contract, a payment of 1 million UAH is provided: 200,000 UAH is paid immediately, and the rest is paid during the service.

Additionally, volunteers will receive monthly monetary support of up to 120,000 UAH. They will also be entitled to the following benefits:

  • "Zero" mortgage;
  • Education at the state's expense;
  • Free medical care, including dental prosthetics;
  • Compensation for housing rental during service;
  • The choice of unit and specialty;
  • The right to travel abroad after one year of service.

After the contract expires, the men are exempt from mobilization for 12 months.
