Netherlands has pledged to deploy the Patriot air defense system in Lithuania in July.
During her visit to Vilnius, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren stated, as cited by Delfi, that the Patriot system will be deployed in Lithuania from July 6 to 23.
Ollongren held a meeting with her Lithuanian counterpart, Laurynas Kasciunas, during her visit to Vilnius. The ministers discussed bilateral cooperation in defense, as well as future exercises during which the Netherlands will station the long-range Patriot air defense system in Lithuania.
