The agricultural division of one of Ukraine's largest grain market operators, SP NIBULON LLC, reported an EBITDA of $24.855 million for the 2024 season, according to its press service on Facebook.

This result was made possible by a reform that focused on improving efficiency and profitability through investments and the implementation of new technologies.

"The season's results confirm the effectiveness of the changes in approaches to agricultural production, the implementation of new technologies, and strategic reorganization. Moving forward, 'NIBULON' plans to continue the development of its agricultural division, focusing on increasing crop yields and implementing innovative solutions in production while gradually expanding its land bank," the agribusiness emphasized.

The press service reminded that NIBULON harvested nearly 274,000 tons of grain from 51,280 hectares last year, which was 115,000 tons more than the previous year.

The main crop, corn, which brought in $16.097 million, yielded 190,400 tons from 23,700 hectares.

The agribusiness added that clusters in the Cherkasy and Mykolaiv regions did not achieve high yields, averaging 6 tons per hectare. However, high yields were achieved in the Kamianets-Podilskyi and Khmelnytskyi clusters, due to corn and soybean production, which offset the crop shortfall in other regions.

NIBULON LLC was established in 1991. Prior to Russia's military invasion, the grain trader had 27 transshipment terminals and complexes for receiving agricultural products, with storage capacities of 2.25 million tons, a fleet of 83 vessels (including 23 tugboats), and owned the Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Plant.

Before the war, NIBULON cultivated 82,000 hectares of land across 12 regions of Ukraine and exported agricultural products to over 70 countries. In 2021, the grain trader exported a record 5.64 million tons of agricultural products, including 0.7 million tons in August, 1.88 million tons in the fourth quarter, and 3.71 million tons in the second half of the year.

Currently, it operates at 32% capacity, has established a special unit for demining agricultural lands, and was forced to relocate its central office from Mykolaiv to Kyiv.
