The net profit of state-owned PrivatBank for the year 2023 amounted to 37.8 billion hryvnias. This is 25% more than in 2022.
Gerhard Boesch, the Chairman of the Board of PrivatBank, made this statement.
According to him, the pre-tax profit doubled to 72.8 billion hryvnias.
Boesch reminded that, under the new law, the bank will pay significantly more corporate income tax - 26.8 billion hryvnias (compared to 5 billion hryvnias last year).
According to the presentation, as of the end of 2023, the bank had 18.35 million retail customers and 875 thousand business clients.
PrivatBank will pay 80% of its profit for the year 2023 in the form of dividends to the state budget.
It's worth noting that the net profit of state-owned PrivatBank for the year 2022 amounted to 30.25 billion hryvnias. This is 4.80 billion hryvnias less than in 2021 (35.05 billion hryvnias). PrivatBank traditionally leads the ranking of banks in Ukraine by the level of profit.
