The company Friendly Wind Technology has announced the readiness of its production line for manufacturing wind power installations.
“Our new production line for manufacturing wind power installations is ready to go! We are ramping up our capacity to meet the growing demand for clean energy,” the company stated.
According to the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), the enterprise plans to produce up to 20 wind energy units per year, each with a capacity ranging from 4.8 to 5.5 MW.
"Friendly Wind Technology" is currently the only national manufacturer of multi-megawatt class wind energy installations in Ukraine.
The company commenced operations in Zakarpattia following the forced relocation of the "Wind Parks of Ukraine" group from Kramatorsk after the onset of the full-scale war in 2022.
In 2023, the company began construction of its first wind power plant in the Zakarpattia region with a total capacity of about 80 MW. Overall, the company’s project portfolio includes the construction of at least 500 MW of capacity.
According to the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), during the two years of the full-scale war, Ukraine's wind energy capacity has increased by 228 MW. Currently, the total capacity of Ukrainian wind generation stands at 1900 MW. According to the Ministry of Energy's plans, the total installed wind energy capacity is expected to reach 10 GW by 2032.
