The German defense company Rheinmetall will supply Ukraine with Lynx infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs).

This was reported on the company’s website.

The first Lynx KF41 IFVs are planned to be delivered to Ukraine at the beginning of 2026. The corresponding contract was signed in December 2025.

The cost of the first five IFVs is described as “a mid‑double‑digit million euro amount.” Funding will be provided by Germany.

It is noted that the decision in favor of the Lynx KF41 was made following trials of the next-generation infantry fighting vehicle. The IFVs will be equipped with a two-person Lance turret and specially configured for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The next stage will involve the procurement of additional batches of vehicles, as well as the organization of production in Ukraine.

Rheinmetall AG CEO Armin Papperger thanked Ukraine for its trust and noted that this order confirms the company’s intention to continue supporting Ukraine.

The Lynx KF41 family of combat vehicles was developed to meet today’s and future requirements. The Lynx KF41 stands for maximum modularity. Thanks to its open electronic architecture and the largest protected internal volume in its class, the Lynx KF41 offers exceptional potential for future technologies and mission profiles. With a scalable weight concept, a highly efficient drive system, and state-of-the-art protection technology, it combines mobility with maximum safety. At the same time, the Lynx impresses with high ergonomics for the crew, enabling efficient and comfortable operations even during long missions.
