In southern Ukraine, farmers are losing tens of hectares of crops due to deliberate fires set by the Russian army.

Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, Denis Marchuk, reported at a briefing that since the start of the harvest season, the Russian army has been purposefully using FPV drones to ignite fields.

"In Kherson region, there are numerous instances where Russians deploy FPV drones to deliberately set crops on fire. People who have cleared their lands, ranging from 100 to 200 to 400 hectares at once, are losing 20 to 30 hectares each time. These are massive losses because they involve borrowed money and what they planned to grow to repay loans and sustain their livelihoods," Marchuk stated.

According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine's agricultural infrastructure has suffered damages exceeding $50 billion.
