Russian Aerospace Forces dropped an air bomb on a boarding school in the occupied city of Sudzha, Kursk region, as stated by the head of the Ukrainian military command of the city, Oleksiy Dmytrashkovskyi.

"Last night, Russian aviation carried out two airstrikes near the boarding school in the city of Sudzha. As a result, a woman received a lacerated wound to her hand. By the morning, the woman passed away," he said.

According to him, the boarding school building is heavily damaged, with all windows and doors blown out.

"The question arose of where to relocate these people. They are all elderly, with many having disabilities, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke conditions, and one person with a mental illness. So the condition of these people is quite critical at the moment," explained Dmitrashkivskyi.

He added that there are about 2,000 people in the areas of Russia controlled by Ukraine. More than 70 people are in the boarding school that was shelled by the Russians.

Photos of the destroyed boarding school were also published by the local community page 'Sudzha Rodna.'

About 70 elderly people, many with disabilities, Parkinson's disease, and post-stroke conditions, were housed in the school. Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko notes that Russian authorities knew that no military personnel were in the boarding school, as its residents had previously been shown in reports by Ukrainian and foreign journalists.

The Russian Ministry of Defense in its latest report stated that "enemy personnel and equipment were hit by operational-tactical aviation strikes and artillery fire" in Sudzha.
