Russian forces carried out widespread attacks across multiple regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours, killing at least 10 civilians and injuring dozens more, according to Ukrainian regional authorities. The strikes targeted dozens of settlements and caused extensive damage to residential areas, infrastructure, and vehicles.
The heaviest attacks were reported in the Sumy region, where Russian forces launched nearly 100 strikes on 29 settlements across 18 communities between June 29 and June 30, regional authorities said. Ten people were injured in the attacks, including civilians in the Hlukhiv, Seredyna-Buda, Buryn, Mykolaiv rural, and Vорожба communities. Several victims suffered severe injuries, while others experienced acute stress reactions. Among the injured were two men aged 63 and 52 and several women aged between 31 and 59. A 52-year-old man was seriously wounded in a drone strike in Seredyna-Buda, while another man was injured in a FPV drone attack in Buryn. Additional victims included civilians wounded in earlier strikes whose conditions were later reported by medical services.
Russian forces used a mix of artillery, FPV drones, guided aerial bombs, rockets, and drone-dropped munitions during the attacks. Infrastructure damage was reported across multiple communities, including destroyed and damaged residential homes, multi-storey buildings, commercial facilities, vehicles, and critical infrastructure.
Separate attacks on the city of Sumy included a drone strike on a parking area in the Kovpakivskyi district, damaging several trucks and a utility structure. Another strike hit a fuel station in the Zarichnyi district, causing damage but no reported injuries.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian forces struck the city of Kharkiv and 29 settlements, killing four people and injuring at least 24 others, including children, according to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.
In Kharkiv city itself, a 23-year-old woman was killed and 12 people were injured in drone strikes targeting residential districts. In other parts of the region, a 75-year-old woman was killed in Hubarivka, while additional casualties were reported in Valky, Staryi Saltiv, Borova, and Bohodukhiv districts. Two children were among the injured in Taranivka.
Russian forces used a combination of missiles, guided aerial bombs, drones, FPV drones, and multiple rocket systems in the attacks. Damage was reported across multiple districts, including residential buildings, transport infrastructure, administrative buildings, fuel stations, rail infrastructure, power lines, warehouses, and educational facilities.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 975 strikes on 56 settlements, killing three people and injuring 18 others, according to regional authorities.
The attacks included 24 airstrikes, 712 drones (mostly FPV), four MLRS strikes, and 235 artillery attacks. Authorities reported damage to residential buildings, infrastructure, and vehicles, with nearly 100 separate damage reports received.
Russian forces attacked 43 settlements in the Kherson region using drones and artillery, regional officials said.
Eleven people were injured, including three children. Damage was reported to apartment buildings, private homes, mobile communication towers, gas pipelines, farm facilities, and vehicles, including an ambulance.
In the Donetsk region, four civilians were injured in Russian attacks on June 29, according to regional authorities.
Police reported 1,105 strikes along the front line and in populated areas, damaging 17 civilian objects, including seven residential buildings. The attacks affected 13 settlements across the region.
Russian forces also struck the Poltava region multiple times with drones. In the Kremenchuk district, a drone hit an educational facility, damaging the building. In the Myrhorod district, drone debris caused fires and damaged electrical infrastructure and industrial facilities. No casualties were reported.
In the Chernihiv region, Russian forces carried out drone strikes on border areas, injuring four civilians and damaging civilian infrastructure. Regional governor Viacheslav Chaus said attacks included “Molniya” drones, “Lancet” loitering munitions, and “Gerbera” drones targeting multiple settlements.
In Novhorod-Siverskyi, strikes damaged a woodworking enterprise, administrative buildings, homes, and vehicles. An 84-year-old woman suffered acoustic trauma. In another strike on a village in the same community, two civilian men were injured. One was hospitalized, while the other is receiving outpatient treatment. Additional strikes hit healthcare facilities in Semyenivka, residential areas in Horodnia, and infrastructure in Ripky, including a fuel station and a shop. Fires and further infrastructure damage were also reported across the region.
