Over the past day, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes across several regions of Ukraine, resulting in casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, according to regional military administrations.
Sumy Region
In the Sumy region, nearly 130 strikes targeted 42 settlements across 19 territorial communities, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported on Facebook. Despite the heavy shelling, there were no new deaths or injuries among residents during the day. However, a minor born in 2007, wounded during a Russian MLRS attack on June 3 in Sumy, died overnight in hospital.
Most attacks occurred in the Sumy and Shostka districts. Russian forces used almost 50 grenade launcher drops from drones, as well as FPV drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles.
Damage was reported in several communities: a passenger car was hit in Velykopysarivska, two private houses were damaged in Druzhbivska, and a civilian infrastructure facility was struck in Hlukhivska.
Additionally, 129 people were evacuated from border communities in the region during the day.
Kherson Region
The Kherson region also experienced significant attacks. Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, reported on Telegram that one person was killed and eight others injured due to Russian aggression.
Russian drone attacks, artillery shelling, and airstrikes targeted multiple settlements, including Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, and Kherson city, among others. The shelling damaged five apartment buildings, 15 private houses, gas pipelines, and private vehicles.
Zaporizhzhia Region
In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 556 strikes across 13 settlements, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration. The Russian forces launched one missile strike on Zaporizhzhia city, injuring an elderly woman, and conducted six airstrikes on Kamianske, Huliaipole, Olhivske, and Novoandriivka.
More than 300 UAVs, mostly FPV drones, attacked multiple settlements, while four rocket launcher attacks targeted Novoandriivka and Mala Tokmachka. Artillery strikes hit several towns, including Lobkove, Kamianske, and Huliaipole.
Fedorov noted that ten reports of damage to apartments, private houses, and infrastructure facilities were received.
Donetsk Region
On June 9, Russian attacks killed three residents of the Donetsk region and wounded eight others, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration. The fatalities occurred in Yarova, Pokrovsk, and Myrnohrad.
Filashkin clarified that the total number of Russian-caused casualties in Donetsk now stands at 3,251 killed and 7,286 injured, not including Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
In the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region, two men were injured following Russian drone and artillery attacks on Nikopol, Marganets, Pokrovska, and Myrovska communities, according to Serhiy Lysak, head of the regional military administration.
The injured men, aged 43 and 53, are in stable condition in hospital. The attacks damaged infrastructure, including a multi-story building, a car service station, a garage, and a power line. A fire broke out but was quickly extinguished.
In the Synelnykove district, drones struck the Mezhivska and Slovianska communities, damaging a private home and practically destroying a House of Culture. Firefighters managed to put out the resulting fire.
