Russian forces are preparing to assault Myrnohrad from the Hrodivka direction using armored vehicles. A massive assault on Pokrovsk with light vehicles was partially successful, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported.
Despite pressure on the defense of Myrnohrad, the enemy has not been able to penetrate the city. Logistics for Ukrainian troops remain secured.
“In the Myrnohrad area, one of the 7th Corps brigades is repelling attacks by small enemy groups of two to four soldiers, who attempt around the clock to infiltrate the southeastern outskirts of the city. The enemy uses ‘Maviks’ for movement coordination and light vehicles, including motorcycles, for logistics,” the military said.
The assault on Pokrovsk was carried out along the Selidove–Pokrovsk route. Despite partial success, some of the Russian vehicles were destroyed on the city’s approaches, and additional units were eliminated within Pokrovsk itself. On November 11 alone, five Russian motorcycles and five cars were destroyed. Ukrainian forces are also working to neutralize Russian firing positions that the Russians managed to establish in some districts of Pokrovsk over the past few days.
The 7th Corps is also holding back the Russian forces in Krasnyi Lyman alongside neighboring units. According to the military, Russian forces view this settlement as a springboard for assaulting Myrnohrad from the north. Combat against the occupiers continues.
Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi reported visiting the Pokrovsk sector. This area continues to experience the highest number of daily nemy assaults, with a significant portion of Russian forces engaged in the war against Ukraine concentrated here.
“Our primary tasks remain gradually taking control of designated areas, maintaining and protecting existing logistics routes, and organizing additional routes to ensure timely supply for our defenders and uninterrupted evacuation of the wounded,” Syrskyi said.
He noted that ongoing fighting with Russian assault infantry groups, and occasionally their light vehicles, continues on the approaches to and inside Pokrovsk, as well as on the adjacent Ocheretyne direction.
Over the past week, 7.4 sq. km of Pokrovsk district territory has been cleared of Russian sabotage groups through search-and-strike operations.
“There is no question of Russian control over Pokrovsk or of the operational encirclement of Ukrainian Defense Forces units,” the commander emphasized.
