Rustem Umerov met with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans in The Hague.
The Netherlands is among the leaders in supporting Ukraine, and their assistance has significantly increased in 2024. We have already secured agreements for 2025.
Top priority—the F-16 programme.
"We expect the next batch of aircraft to be delivered in 2025, while pilot, engineering, and technical training continues. The Netherlands plays a key role in the Air Force Coalition, supporting the development of our aviation infrastructure and capabilities," wrote Umerov.
Second priority—drones.
"We coordinated the allocation of the previously announced €400 million and prepared large-scale joint projects to enhance long-range capabilities," wrote Umerov.
Also on the agenda: artillery ammunition, air defense, and interceptor missiles. The Netherlands has a clear understanding of Ukraine's needs and is ready to help.
Industrial cooperation is another key focus. The next logical step is the development of joint defense enterprises to strengthen the capabilities of our armed forces.
"We synchronized plans for aid deliveries, their effective use on the battlefield, and operational support. Acting swiftly and efficiently with our partners is crucial. Grateful to Minister Brekelmans for productive negotiations and to the Dutch government and people for their unwavering support of Ukraine," wrote Umerov.
