The General Consulate of Slovakia in St. Petersburg will cease operations on December 31 of this year. This is the only Slovak consulate in Russia.
This was reported by the consulate's press service.
The consulate stated that, following a government decision from Slovakia on August 28, 'its activities will be terminated as of December 31, 2024.'
'As for citizens of the Russian Federation, the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Saint Petersburg no longer provides them with its services,' the diplomatic institution added.
It was noted that citizens of the Russian Federation may continue to submit applications for visas, residence permits, or verification of signatures, translations, and notarization of photocopies and copies of documents at the Slovak Embassy in Moscow.
