The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Russian Federation are ready to sacrifice Yevgeny Prigozhin's "Wagnerites" near Bakhmut, Donetsk region, even at the cost of Russia's defeat and the humiliation of the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
Publicist and political strategist Stanislav Belkovsky expressed confidence in this, noting that no one would save the mercenaries and Prigozhin near Bakhmut: "This is a great chance to get rid of him. A great chance to defeat Prigozhin near Bakhmut with Ukrainian hands."
He is sure that it is now much more important for the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Russian Federation to get rid of Prigozhin than to decide the fate of Bakhmut in one direction or another:
âHere you can strike Prigozhin himself, shut his mouth, and stop his constant arguments that he has the most combat-ready unit in the Russian troops and that only he is capable of great results, and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are âcomplete cretins.â
