In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a new branch of the military is being created - the Unmanned Systems Forces. Today, in Kyiv, during a press conference on the topic "Progress in establishing the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," newly appointed commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Vadim Sukharevsky, outlined the key challenges and main tasks currently facing this new branch of the military.
The commander emphasized that among the key priorities is increasing the effectiveness of targeting the enemy using unmanned aerial vehicles. Additionally, there will be a more systematic approach to training specialists for this new branch of the military in higher military educational institutions and training centers.
"Training is a crucial element. We will make every effort to collaborate with civilian schools that train drone operators. We want to systematize the training process for professional pilots as much as possible," stressed Colonel Vadim Sukharevsky.
Furthermore, the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces will work on developing technologies in close cooperation with scientific, military, and civilian institutions. Plans include establishing an advanced robotic testing ground to test the latest drone models of various types.
The Unmanned Systems Forces will be involved in comprehensive military operational planning using robotic complexes and will oversee the development of drones of all kinds.
The steel swallow, created by neural networks, has become the symbol of this new branch of the military. This bird in Ukrainian culture is associated with the beginning of new life and is considered a harbinger of victory.
