First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Emine Dzheppar reported that Ukraine plans to hold another "Crimean Platform" summit on August 23.
"The President of Ukraine set a straightforward task for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to organize the summit. We prepare it. The summit will be held online," Emine Dzheppar said in a comment to "Krym.Realii".
She also informed that the ministry would announce more detailed information about the summit and other events within the "Crimean Platform" framework later.
The International Platform for the Deoccupation of Crimea ("Crimean Platform") is an initiative of the Ukrainian authorities to create a negotiating platform for coordinating the actions of Ukraine and international partners to protect the rights of Crimeans and deoccupy the peninsula occupied by Russia.
The inaugural summit of the "Crimean Platform" was held in Kyiv on August 23, 2021 - the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's state independence. The event was called to launch the international format regarding the de-occupation of Crimea officially.
43 participating countries of the first summit of the "Crimean Platform" signed a joint declaration with a call to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders and declared that "Russia will not succeed in legitimizing the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol."
