The foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle countries strongly condemned the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones, calling it a deliberate and coordinated strike, an unprecedented provocation, and an escalation of tensions.

This was stated in a joint declaration by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

The diplomats stressed that Russia’s actions, along with Belarus’s consent to the use of its airspace, pose a direct threat to the security of all countries in the region, which can only be guaranteed by coordinated joint steps.

The ministers noted Ukraine’s readiness to share intelligence and operational data with Poland, Lithuania, and other partners to create an effective early warning system and defense against Russian missile and drone attacks. They underlined the need for closer coordination and swift interaction among air security structures.

“We call on our partners to urgently strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and support Lithuania and Poland in their efforts to ensure the security of NATO’s and the EU’s eastern flank. Only an adequate and decisive response will prevent further escalation,” the statement reads.

In addition, the diplomats warned of a new wave of Russian disinformation triggered by the incident and urged societies to remain vigilant against manipulation from Moscow.

“Together, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine reaffirm that unity, strength, and cooperation — especially with our allies and partners in NATO and the EU — are the only ways to effectively counter Russian aggression and guarantee the security of our peoples,” the foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle concluded
