Following the phone and video calls with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the President of Moldova Maia Sandu, the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel, and the Taoiseach of Ireland Simon Harris confirmed their participation in the Global Peace Summit.

During a video call with Ursula von der Leyen, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked for the fact that Europe and the European Union stand with Ukraine. The two leaders discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit, the involvement of as many countries as possible, including representatives of the Global South, and the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU in June.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of continuing defense support for Ukraine and bolstering air defense. Ursula von der Leyen assured that she would do everything possible to resolve these issues.

The President thanked Charles Michel for his support of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and assistance in involving as many countries as possible in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. The parties also discussed preparations for the 25th Ukraine – EU Summit.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Simon Harris exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the field of demining and the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement. They agreed to instruct their teams to start working on the document as soon as possible.

The Head of State thanked Petr Pavel for the initiative to purchase shells for our country. The President of Ukraine noted that its immediate implementation would be of great significance on the battlefield. The leaders discussed further defense cooperation and the urgent needs of Ukrainian warriors.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Maia Sandu exchanged views on the integration of both countries into the European Union.

"Europe is our common home, its security depends on a just peace in Ukraine," the Head of State said.
