On the night of August 30, the most extensive drone attack was carried out in Russia. Strikes were launched by drones on various targets in the Moscow, Tula, Pskov, Bryansk regions, and Sevastopol.

This information was reported by Militarny with reference to Russian media.

Around 23:30 on July 29, Pskov Airport, located 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, was attacked by a group of unidentified armed drones.

As a result of the successful attack, four military transport aircraft Il-76 were hit, two of which were destroyed. The airport infrastructure was also damaged.

Some Russian media outlets are also reporting strikes on another military facility in Promzhytsi near Pskov, specifically on the warehouses of the 64044 military unit belonging to the 2nd separate special purpose brigade. The latter is subordinated to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

After the strikes in Pskov, a so-called Edelweiss plan was announced, which involved the encirclement of the airport and the military unit by armed officers of the police special unit "OMON". In Bryansk, around 01:00 on July 30, a number of targets were attacked by at least six armed drones. Some of the drones were shot down by air defense systems.

One of the drones hit an object on the premises of the "Silicon EL" plant and caused damage. This plant is the largest Russian manufacturer of microelectronics and produces products on order for the Russian Ministry of Defense. Starting from 01:17, drones were also spotted in the Oryol, Ryazan, Tula, Kaluga, and Moscow regions.

In the Moscow region and several other regions, a "Carpet" plan was announced, which involves the suspension of flights and the cessation of all take-offs and landings of aircraft.

In the Tula region, a drone strike on an unknown target was recorded, although the type of target and the results of the hit are currently unknown.

In the Ryazan region, at 3 a.m., one of the drones was shot down 11 kilometers from the Dyagilevo strategic aviation base. Another drone was shot down around 4 a.m., approximately 7 kilometers from the airfield.

In the Kaluga region, two drones struck the territory of the Pervy Zavod oil refinery with a half-hour difference. This refinery is engaged in processing crude oil and gas condensate. The impact caused a fire in the distillation pipeline.

As of now, this is the largest-scale drone attack on Russian territory during the entire Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Dozens of drones targeted locations in seven regions, including the capital.

Most of the targeted or affected locations were situated between 100 to 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Thanks to videos captured by local residents, the distinctive sound indicates that the unidentified drones were equipped with internal combustion engines. Considering the flight range, it is plausible that these were Ukrainian Bobr drones.

These long-range drones have been used in attacks on Moscow on multiple occasions. At least some of them were acquired by Ukrainian volunteers.
